Giano Li Tien Kee golden boot

La Cure Waves SC striker Giano Li Tien Kee has capped off a remarkable season by finishing as the top scorer of the 2024/25 National Super League, netting 16 goals in 18 matches. At 36 years old, the veteran forward continues to prove his enduring quality and importance at the highest level of Mauritian football.

Li Tien Kee has been a standout performer for Jerome Thomas’s side, contributing significantly to Cure Waves SC’s success in just their first season in the top flight, where they finished as runners-up in the championship. His sharp instincts and composure in front of goal made him a consistent threat throughout the campaign.

The striker joined Cure Waves SC in 2023 when the team was still competing in National Division One. His impact was immediate—scoring 19 goals in 18 matches and helping the club achieve an unbeaten championship-winning campaign that secured promotion to the elite league.

Coach Jerome Thomas, who previously played alongside Li Tien Kee at Roche Bois Bolton City in 2019, praised the forward’s leadership, professionalism, and clinical finishing. “Giano brings experience, intelligence, and a hunger that lifts the entire squad. His performances this season speak for themselves.”

Before his time at Cure Waves, Li Tien Kee enjoyed stints with several top-tier clubs including PAS Mates, Sylvester SC, Cercle de Joachim, and Pamplemousses SC, consistently leaving his mark wherever he played.

As LA Cure Waves SC looks ahead to the 2025/26 season, Giano Li Tien Kee’s form will undoubtedly remain central to their ambitions.
