Port Louis Black Horns FC have concluded the 2024/25 National Division Two season in second place, narrowly missing out on the championship title despite a stellar campaign.
The club finished level on points with champions Grande-Riviere-Noire West Coast, with both teams ending the season on 40 points. However, GRN West Coast clinched the title but the club of the Capital gtrabbed the promition to the National Division 1.
The Black Horns recorded 13 wins, 1 draw, and 4 losses, showcasing impressive consistency across the campaign. With a well-drilled squad and dynamic attacking play, they were in title contention right until the final round of fixtures.
While the outcome was bittersweet, the season represents a significant step forward for the Port Louis side, who remain among the top-performing teams in the division.
“It’s a tough pill to swallow, missing the title by such a fine margin,” said a club spokesperson. “But we’re incredibly proud of the team’s efforts. This squad showed heart, quality, and a fighting spirit that defines who we are as a club. Our focus now shifts to building on this momentum.”
