The Refereeing Department and Referees’ Committee exist to uphold the integrity and quality of football officiating by recruiting, training and appointing qualified match officials, ensuring consistent application of the Laws of the Game, promoting professionalism and ethical conduct and serving as the link between referees, the football association and international refereeing bodies, like COSAFA, CAF and FIFA.
