AS Rivière-du-Rempart back to elite

AS Rivière-du-Rempart (ASRR) has earned a swift return to the National Super League, just one season after their relegation to National Division One. The Green and Whites showcased resilience, consistency, and dominance throughout the 2024/25 season, finishing as champions and securing their place among Mauritius’s elite clubs once again.

ASRR went unbeaten in 16 of their 18 league matches, a testament to their tactical discipline and collective strength. They ended the campaign with 41 goals scored—the best attacking record in the division—and conceded just 12 goals, highlighting a rock-solid defensive unit.

Led by Coulibally Koffi and a talented squad, ASRR’s attacking display left defenders across the league scrambling. The team’s combination of flair, speed, and clinical finishing made them the most feared offensive force in National Division One.

Head coach Tony François praised his players’ commitment and unity throughout the season: “This promotion is the result of hard work, discipline, and belief. Now, the real work begins. Our objective is to prepare thoroughly during the off-season to be fully competitive in the National Super League.”

The club’s return to the top flight marks a significant moment for the Rivière-du-Rempart community and its supporters, who have backed the team passionately through its highs and lows. With momentum on their side, ASRR is set to make a strong comeback at the highest level.
