For the development of the youth

The FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) is a global initiative launched in 2022 to enhance football talent identification and development across all Member Associations. Its primary objective is to ensure that every talented player, regardless of their background or location, has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Mauritius has shown interest in FIFA’s talent development initiatives with many projects putted in place through the technical department. The first project was to help our U17-U20 boys and girls for their participation in our national’s leagues with nutrition, hydration and equipments.

Talent identification is also a big opportunity for all the players, our technical department put in place a lot of open trial for different age group such as U15, U17 boys and girls.

Throughout our program, we also helped a U17 player with funding and equipments to go abroad to play in a competitive in Thailand. Regarding all the 12 regions and the CTR we gave a set of playing gear and footballs for the development of a youth leagues.

On our side in the near future, we are looking forward to receive more fundings to develop our players in our High Performance Centre and to invest in the regions to reach our goals.
