Women's Festival 2025: ASQB grab the honours

AS Quatre-Bornes seized the spotlight on Sunday, 7 December 2025, at the MFA headquarters in Trianon, capturing the women’s football festival title with the narrowest of wins over GRSE Wanderers.

In a final defined by grit more than goals, ASQB held their nerve to edge the contest 1-0 and secure the tournament’s top honours. Though modest in scoreline, the victory reflects a team already showing sharpness, organisation, and competitive hunger.

This festival served as far more than a showcase of talent — it was a crucial dress rehearsal ahead of the women’s football season scheduled to kick off early next year.

Eleven teams participate in this one-day tournament : MFA/SLB HPC, La Gaulette Sharks, GRSE Wanderers, Plaisance Spoutnik, Mangalkhan SC, l’Escalier Omni Sports, ASQB, Black Rhinos, Bambous Young, La Cure Sylvetser and AFN Belin.

The teams were classified in two groups. ASQB fnished first in its pool and defeated Bambous Young (2-0) in the semi-final while GRSW Wanderes took over MFA/SLB HPC after penalty shoot-out to gain its place in the final.

AS Quatre-Bornes leave Trianon with confidence, silverware, and momentum — a trio that could well set the tone for the months to come. With energy, engagement, and promising performances across the board, the event offered a timely glimpse of what lies ahead for the women’s game in Mauritius.
